Have you ever experienced…

Peeling

Dry

Cracked

Splitting

and even

Bleeding Lips??

Well, you are NOT alone and there is a cure that won’t break your bank or have you using unknown chemicals to bring back those Supple, Soft, and Kissable Lips that look great and most importantly FEEL great! Thanks to Pinterest and Google there are so many homemade remedies to try.

Lip Scrubs are easy to make and you can really eye out the amount of ingredients used or change them up depending on what you have at home and how much you want to make; just use equal parts of each one. Your bases are honey, sugar, and oil and just with those you can have a ready made scrub. The cool thing about making your own Homemade Beauty Products is how flexible and interchangeable the ingredients can be. By adding an extra ingredient or two like power-packed oils, aloe vera from your back yard, and freshly squeezed lime or lemon juice you can Boost the Benefit of your scrub.

Here is one of my Favorite Tasty Go-To Lip Rejuvenating Recipes using Natural, Organic, and On-Hand Kitchen Ingredients. Enjoy your Lips again and Look GREAT wearing your favorite Lip Gloss, Lipstick, or Chapstick.

Coconut Lime Sugar Lip Scrub

  • 1 Tbsp Honey
  • 1 Tbsp Brown Sugar
  • 1 Tbsp Raw Sugar
  • 1 Tbsp Coconut Oil (it is easier to bind together when it is a bit more solid than oily)
  • 1 Tbsp Lime Juice, freshly squeezed (you can sub for lemon too)

*Sub coconut oil for olive oil, almond oil, or your favorite healthy oil, just note they don’t get solid like the coconut oil and take a little bit to incorporate with the honey.

*Sub the Lime Juice for Mint Extract or Essential Oils.

*Omit oil and just use honey and sugar OR Omit the Honey and use oil and sugar.

*Sub sugars for any sugar you have on hand.

In a small bowl combine honey and sugars until incorporated. Add in honey and stir (it seems like it doesn’t want to bind together, just mix well). Add in lime juice and stir. Use a spoon, a small paintbrush, or your fingers to cover your lips in the scrub; gently rub it all over. Wipe off with damp warm cloth or towel. Repeat as needed until lips are completely smooth and buttery. The sugars acts as the exfoliant, the lime rejuvenates the skin, the coconut oil is naturally moisturizing, and the honey is a natural anti-bacterial and cleanser. This will keep in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.

This stuff is seriously AMAZING!!! The first time I used it I scrubbed and wiped 3x and then applied my lip gloss (Mentha Lip Shine from Bath & Body Works — has natural peppermint, vanilla mint, spearmint or cinnamon oil). My lips felt SUPERB, SOFT, SMOOTH, and KISSABLY FABULOUS!!!
