For the past couple of days we have been fiercely battling ants. Ok – Ok – nothing “fierce” is happening, but it definitely is that time of year when all the bugs start making their way in the house. The one bug that has always perplexed  me has been the Mighty Ant. It is so small yet hauls around food twice its size and no matter what you do to them, they keep on coming back! Lol! They are the most persistent of bugs. The bible even gives mention of them. Did you know that? Yep, in Proverbs it talks about the ants and even compares them to people as they have houses, towns, public roads, etc.; showing their wisdom and prudence by preparing their meat in due season; specifically mentioning the summer.

Talk about “On Time” Revelation! Ha! If you haven’t gotten it yet keep reading and I’ll explain.

This week I was surprised to find ants devouring some chip crumbs the kids left out on the kitchen floor. Ugh…in my experience with ants, once they are in the house be it one or a bunch, they keep finding ways to get back in even after you annihilate them. Oh come on!!! Don’t smirk at me. I don’t like bugs in my house, or on me, or near me….I just really don’t like bugs. I am not scared of ants, but I don’t dare dismiss their presence in my home. I know all to well about having to throw out an entire pantry of food after waking up in the morning to find them feasting.

The details of the rest of my Ant Adventures are irrelevant at this point. I do however want to point out how I feel like an Ant at times; thus the revelation comes in. Carrying this heavy weight on my back, constantly getting dumped on by people trying to eradicate me. Well I don’t know if people want to eradicate me, but they sure do stop me in my tracks and dump on me while on my journey to get from one destination to the next…Sometimes I think I am the ant and the person at the same time, because I can easily stop myself from moving forward out of fear or lack of confidence.

Awwww…I kind of feel bad for my Ant annihilating History now…kind of! Ants work hard to complete the task at hand and although I do not enjoy their company I do appreciate their tenacity and strength. An Ant is pretty much the weakest bug in nature. Did you know that different tribemen would call their weaker men lower than an ant? Fascinating right? Maybe there is more to these ants then meets the eye…that is until you get bit and it stings or you are allergic to them…LOL!

Side Note: Weirdly I have a dear friend who IS allergic to Black Ants specifically and if not treated immediately when bit can go into anaphylactic shock and die. Ants are everywhere…that is a scary weapon against you. Eeeek! So she has to be careful when she comes over and swims at my house because black ants live all in the grass that surrounds near the pool.

Anyways I digress.

These Ants have been sprayed with bleach and just recently scrubbing bubbles foaming spray….it’s all I had, don’t judge me or laugh at me. If it’s gonna be me or the ants, it’s gonna be ME! I did find some All Natural DIY Bug Spray Remedies I would like to try I just need to make a store trip. We are leaving to Camp for a week and haven’t really done a big shopping since we won’t be home. I am fully aware that their will be an infinite number of bugs near me on this trip and I am ready to deal with it. A little bug spray for my cabin room and other than that I am in the forest with nature and the bugs. LOL! I can do this!

In the end….what I have been reminded of today is:

NO MATTER WHAT COMES YOUR WAY, WHETHER IT’S BLEACH OR SCRUBBING BUBBLES, OR WATER, OR BUG SPRAY…KEEP GOING FORWARD! DON’T GIVE UP, DON’T GIVE IN! WORK HARD AND WATCH IT PAY OFF!!!! Think of all you can accomplish when you keep going.

THE END!
