It’s so easy to live according to Food Labels, and I’m not talking about the list of ingredients on the back of your Naked Juice Bottle. In a culture where Food Allergies, Intolerances, Sensitivities, Diets, and Food Fads are prevalent, we tend to focus our time and energy making sure all of our food is S A F E .
Is it Gluten-Free?
Is it Dairy Free?
Is it Allergen Friendly?
Is it Paleo Legal?
Is it SCD (specific carbohydrate diet) Legal?
Is it BED Legal?
Does it contain Refined Sugars?
Is it Certified Organic?
Low Carb? High Carb? Carb-Free? Carbarnarbadabadooo…LOL!
These are all terrific questions, and unfortunately with the rise of Auto-Immune Disorders and Food Allergies we are seeing spread like an epidemic, it has become questions of Life or Death – What you eat Could actually kill you! What do we do then when we are stuck in a cycle of questions vs. answers and a focus on what’s IN our food instead of the food itself?
I’d venture to say the BEST question we could ever ask is if it is “REAL FOOD”. You know the kind…
Food that has been around for hundreds or even thousands of years and not manufactured in a factory or under a microscope. The more REAL FOOD we eat and the less Other Stuff we eat, the HEALTHIER we will become. Often many health issues can be remedied with food. By changing WHAT we eat we could actually see many diseases begin to disappear.

YES, of course it can, and it is. You can find tutorials and stories of people all over being healed with food – Eating REAL FOOD & Eliminating the Other Stuff.
It’s time we make a stand for ourselves…

Now, I know what you’re thinking…You’re thinking about those cookies, cakes, brownies, chips, bacon, etc. that you all of a sudden are CRAVING! Hahaha! It’s ok, I could go for some gluten free gingersnap cookies myself with a scoop of Vanilla Bean Coconut Milk Ice Cream topped with mixed berries, honey drizzles, and dusted with cinnamon. It’s simple really. Use WHOLE REAL FOODS to make all those things you love and continue enjoying life and food. Stop eating processed chemicals created to destroy your body from the inside out while making you think you are in flavor heaven. It’s an illusion that is costing people their lives.
Even with my Gluten Free, Soy Free, Dairy Free, Chocolate Free lifestyle I can easily get caught up in what I can and cannot have that I become obsessed with food in a negative and overwhelming way. It’s time to just eat when you eat and call it a day.
Easy. Simple. Done.
Well, how about we work on it together. It’s much easier said or typed than done, especially if that day happens to be a particularly unpleasant one.
