One great thing about Summer is all the Fresh Fruits and Veggies our begin bodies crave. We definitely start this healthy food journey early on in the year with all the New Year’s Resolutions and into Springtime, but Summer is just so hot that all you want to do is be FRESH. We drink lots of Smoothies, Juices, Icy Drinks, Cold Veggies and Fruits, Salads, FRESH, FRESH, FRESH. Our cakes are topped with Berries, our meals include lighter sides, we just want our bodies to feel good against all that heat. Plus with all the Grilling and Outside BBQ Pool Parties, you need some Fresh and Light Choices to balance out the Meat Attacks. Lol! Here is a quick and easy salad dressing that will give even the bravest a good KICK IN THE PANTS or the Taste Buds. Try this out and turn your Boring Salads into Super Sides!
Kick It Up Salad Dressing
- 1-2 Garlic Cloves, minced
- 1/2 Tomato, chopped with juices
- 1/2 Lemon, squeezed
- 2 Tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- Dash of Pepper
- Pinch of Kosher Salt
Shake up in a container and Pour over Salad.
Try mixing fresh Kale, Green Leaf Lettuce, Romaine, and Spinach for a Healthy Green ‘Kick It Up Salad’ Mix.
