I feel so much better about this. I mean, Green Smoothies, whats Not to love? They power-pack in much more nutrients than a regular old smoothie. You could even add a shot of wheat grass to it if you dare, or slurp that down real quick while you devour the fruity goodness of your favorite blends. There is only 1 problem between me and my relationship with the Green Goodness…Yep, you guessed it. Cravings for not-so-green foods. Oh its not bad to indulge here and there, it’s the constant indulgence, with no other beneficial nutrients going in that’s the problem. 30 Day Smoothie/Juice Challenge:
DAY 4: Recipe of the Day
Sweet n’ Spicy Green
- 1 large Cucumber
- 2 handfuls Baby Spinach
- 1 Granny Smith Apple
- 2 inch chunk Ginger Root
- 1-2 Tbsp Agave (optional for a little extra sweetness)
Juice each ingredient one at a time, add agave for a little extra sweetness if you desire, stir and enjoy. Pour over ice for a chilled taste.
